Bishop Mark Hagemoen was one of a number of bishops who travelled to Vancouver for the installation of Archbishop Richard Smith May 23. The former archbishop of Edmonton who was appointed by the late Pope Francis after the retirement of Vancouver Archbishop Michael Miller.

Also attending were Canada’s Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Ivan Jurkovic, Cardinal Gerald Lacroix, the Archbishop of Quebec and Primate of Canada and Calgary Bishop William McGrattan, president of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB).
