If you have questions about sharing faith with children, please contact Marilyn Jackson, Evangelization and Catechetics, (306) 659-5836 or mjackson@rcdos.ca

Recognizing the different stages of faith development and the importance of family and community in cultivating faith in both children and adults, the diocesan Evangelization and Catechesis office seeks to assist parish leadership in exploring parish needs and helping to form communities of intentional disciples.

For more information about resources, or any questions about sharing faith with children or sacramental preparation for all ages, please contact our Evangelization and Catechesis coordinator Marilyn Jackson at (306) 659-5836 or e-mail her at mjackson@rcdos.ca

INITIATION SACRAMENTS:

In the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon, the initiation sacraments have been restored to the order of “Baptism – Confirmation – Eucharist.” This means that children normally receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at the same celebration that they receive First Holy Communion — first being confirmed, then coming forward to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus at the Table of the Lord.

More information about the Restored Order of Sacraments can be found at the Q&A about the Restored Order of Christian Initiation Sacraments.
