Building Faith Filled Families
A Marriage Movement has been implemented by the diocesan Committee for Marriage & Family that will help to create social supports for married couples, through small group gatherings.

Strengthening the core of the family – the husband and wife – will contribute to building faith-filled families.
Psychology tells us that social support benefits a person’s overall behaviour and health.
We live in an increasingly fragmented and disconnected world. The constant attack on families and the lack of face-to-face connection with one another puts families at risk. Married couples need the support of peers in their faith community and beyond to build faith-filled families.
Why Small Groups?
“Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.” – Acts 2:46-47
Discipleship
We all need people who are willing to get to know us so we can help one another walk with Christ more faithfully.
Curiosity
In an environment of openness and trust, group members are encouraged to ask questions they might not ask elsewhere.
Evangelization
Small groups can be an important stepping stone in the thresholds of conversion, leading people from trust to openness, to seeking.
As followers of Christ gather in homes for food and spiritual conversation, those present witness hospitality blossoming from theory to practice.
Socializing
Small groups help us to develop a greater sense of Christian community in a “disconnected” age.
