To form intentional missionary disciples by bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ into the lives of youth and young adults of the Diocese of Saskatoon - into their families, schools and communities through the Holy Spirit.

Verbum Dei Missionary

Sr. Marta Piano

Sr. Marta Piano has a Canadian-Italian background. She was born in Rome where she met the Verbum Dei Missionary Community in 1997. The thirst to make God's love known through the Word of God led her to enter the noviciate in Mexico in 2004. She has a B.A. in Sacred Theology from the Pontifica Universitas Urbaniana in Rome. Evangelization and Mission Leader

John Hickey

Growing up in Saskatoon, where he and his wife Heather are also now raising their four children, Hickey has had a long-time interest in expanding evangelization efforts in parish and diocesan settings. He has been a missionary with Catholic Christian Outreach for 15 years, and is a member of the diocesan Evangelization Commission.
