National Indigenous Peoples Day

Diocesan Prayer – As our country celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Day June 21, we give thanks for the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples of Canada, for the blessing of cultures and traditions, and for the gifts of creation that we share.

Creator God, we pray that you will walk with us and help us to embrace our mutual journey toward truth and reconciliation. Guide us to healing and peace, and awaken in all a spirit of compassion, justice, community and friendship.
