Announcements for Sunday, Nov 1 – Solemnity of All Saints

Diocesan Bulletin (2-page insert) PDF

 * Diocesan Prayer intention: We pray as a diocesan family for our parishes, rural and urban communities, diocesan ministries, clergy, religious and lay leaders: we pray that all may work together as one Body of Christ, sharing time, talent and treasure for the good of all. As this year’s Bishop’s Annual Appeal continues, we pray that our generosity is a joyful response to God’s generosity and a visible sign that we are committed to living the Father’s will.

EARTHCARE Connections (Prayer intentions from Farmland Legacies)

  1. May we live the beatitudes in our relationships with others and with our earth. We pray to the Lord.
  2. The church is the temple of God. Help us also reverence the earth as God’s dwelling place. We pray to the Lord.

Walking in the Spirit of St. Angela Merici as an Ursuline Associate – St. Angela Merici was a woman of courage, faith, and vision who believed deeply in the dignity of every person and in the power of education, service, and relationship to transform lives. In 1535, she founded the Company of St. Ursula, planting the seeds of what would become the Ursuline tradition—a legacy of women dedicated to sharing the Gospel through education, faith formation, compassionate service, and care for their communities. For over 100 years, Ursuline Sisters have ministered in many locations in Western Canada, as well as Brazil, Swaziland and Zimbabwe, in the Spirit of St. Angela. Today, that spirit continues and you are invited to be part of it. The Ursuline Associates are lay women and men who desire to deepen their connection to Ursuline spirituality and help carry the values and mission of St. Angela into their families, parishes, workplaces, and communities. Associates gather four times each year to build relationships and create opportunities for awareness, faith, and service. You do not need to be a religious sister to help carry this beautiful legacy forward. St. Angela reminds us that each of us can respond to God’s call in the circumstances of our own lives. Interested in learning more or becoming an Ursuline Associate? Please contact Sr. Dianne Sehn of the Ursulines of Prelate at osu.secretary@ursulines.ca  to learn how you can get involved and help continue the Ursuline spirit of faith, courage, service, and hope for generations to come.

Gathering of Ursuline Sisters and Ursuline Associates held recently at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Saskatoon.
