Webinar series for Year of Prayer – The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) have arranged for both a spring and a fall webinar series to offer the faithful one meaningful way to participate in the Year of Prayer, being marked this year in preparation for Jubilee 2025.

Dr. Josephine Lombardi, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor of Systematic and Pastoral Theology at St. Augustine’s Seminary will present eight webinar sessions on prayer, with the first four webinars occurring in the spring installment of the series in April 2024, followed by the final four webinars in October.

Spring Series: “A Great Symphony of Prayer: The Our Father as a Programme of Life” will be held from 1 p.m. to 2:30 pm EDT / 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. SK time on four Tuesdays in April:

  1. Tuesday, April 2: Why did Jesus address God as Father?
  2. Tuesday, April 9: Seeking God’s Kingdom and Knowing God’s Will
  3. Tuesday, April 23: Daily Bread and the Gift of Forgiveness
  4. Tuesday, April 30: Managing Trials and Resisting Evil

Fall Series held at the same time of day on four Thursdays in October:

  1. Thursday, Oct. 3: Praying with Mary/The Rosary
  2. Thursday, Oct. 10: Praying with the Saints/St. Teresa of Avila
  3. Thursday, Oct. 17: The Prayer of Jesus/John 17
  4. Thursday, Oct. 24: Lectio Divina/The Storm at Sea
