“Man of Sorrows” – Lenten retreat

“Man of Sorrows” Lenten Retreat is a diocesan adult faith Encounter Event to be held 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon.

Inspired by Isaiah 53:3, often referenced for its depiction of the “Man of Sorrows,” the retreat invites participant to explore the depths of the Saviour’s sorrow and the power of redemption. Let us take time to deepen our faith and understanding of the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for humanity.
Through guided meditations and prayer, those who attend the retreat will be encouraged to prepare for the Easter celebration, fostering a sense of community and shared devotion during Lent 2026. Retreat facilitators are Sisters of the Presentation of Mary — Sr. Cindy Lewans, PM; Sr. Lucie Hamel, PM; and Sr. Emma Rousseau, PM.
