Festival of Faith: Fr. Ron Rolheiser, OMI

Fr. Ron Rolheiser will present his first session on “Called to Mission” at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 13 during the Festival of Faith held at St. Philip Neri Parish from July 9 to 15. He will also speak at 9 a.m. and at 2 p.m. Monday, July 14, and finally at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 15.

All sessions of the Festival of Faith are free. Everyone is welcome to attend one or more sessions; childcare available.

Schedule of events to be held July 9-15 at St. Philip Neri Parish, 1902 Munroe Avenue South, Saskatoon:

Opening Mass at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9 with Bishop Mark Hagemoen.

“Women in Sacred Scripture” sessions on Thursday July 10 will be presented by Deb Rolfes, MA, MTh. at 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., with Mass at 11 a.m.

Prayer is the theme on Friday, July 11 with an introduction and experience of Lectio Divina with Fr. Doug Jeffrey, OMI at 9 a.m., and an introduction to Centring Prayer with Fr. Kevin McGee at 2 p.m., as well as Mass at 11 a.m. and Adoration/Benediction at 7 p.m.

Mary will be the focus on Saturday, July 12 with Sr. Cindy Lewans, PM, giving a presentation on “Mary: Let it be done unto me” at 9 a.m., followed by “Mary: A Celebration in Song” at 11 a.m.

In addition to regular Sunday Eucharist July 12-13 held at the parish, the Festival of Faith will continue with Fr. Ron Rolheiser speaking on “Called to Mission” at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 13.

Fr. Ron Rolheiser’s sessions will continue Monday, July 14 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. There is also a Classical Music Concert at 7 p.m., Monday, July 14 followed by a wine and cheese social.

Fr. Rolheiser’s closing session will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, followed by Mass at 11 a.m.
