De Margerie Series Workshop – “Taking Nicea Home – Are we ready to let it shape parish life”

January 25 @ 10:00 am 12:00 pm

De Margerie Series Public Workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 25 at Holy Covenant Evangelical Orthodox Church, 1406 Alexandra Avenue, “Taking Nicea Home – Are We Ready To Let it Shape Parish Life?” with Rev. Dr. Sandra Beardsall; registration is not required (light lunch to follow). Everyone is Welcome!

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (WPCU) resources are available for download at https://weekofprayer.ca.

Marked Jan. 18-25, the theme of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (WPCU) was prepared by the monastic community of Bose in Northern Italy, “Do you believe this?” (John 11:26), taking its cue from the dialogue between Jesus and Martha when Jesus visited the home of Martha and Mary in Bethany following the death of their brother Lazarus.

As 2025 marks the 1,700th anniversary of the first Christian Ecumenical Council of Nicaea, Christians around the world are called to witness together to this faith in the resurrection, which is for us the source of hope and joy, to be shared with all peoples.
