Carlton Trail Pro-Life Association in Humboldt – Banquet & AGM
November 9 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
“Advocacy, Accompaniment & Education: A Pro-Life Response to Euthanasia” will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9 at St. Augustine Parish Hall, Humboldt, SK.
As part of its annual Banquet and AGM, Carlton Trail Prolife will host two speakers who are experts in the field of spiritual care and advocating for conscience in healthcare:
Jackie Saretsky, Coordinator of Hospital Chaplaincy for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon, holds a master’s degree in theological studies and a diploma in Catholic bioethics. Jackie has taught the Dying Healed workshop and, more recently, facilitated the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Horizons of Hope workshop across the province.
Dr. Mary (Deutscher) Heilman is the bio-ethicist for the Catholic Health Association of Saskatchewan and St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. Her PhD is in Public Policy and her MA is in Public Ethics. She also has a BA in Philosophy (from St. Thomas More College, U of S) and a BSc in Biology from U of S. Her research built on her experience as a spiritual care provider at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, and investigated the role of conscience in healthcare.
Tickets for the Banquet and AGM are $30/adult, $15/student and preschoolers are free. Tickets may be purchased at the Danish Oven bakery in Humboldt, at the St. Augustine Parish office, or by contacting Melanie Ramsay at (306) 231-4163. Deadline for tickets is Nov. 2.
