BLAZE (Byzantine Leadership And Zealous Evangelization) – “The Flames of Love are Flames of Fire, a Blaze That Comes from the Lord” – Song of Songs, 8:6.
BLAZE is a high school leadership Byzantine retreat offered through Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, to be held March 2-3 at Bethlehem Catholic High School and Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of St. George in Saskatoon. This retreat is open to all Catholic high school students.

• to equip with the knowledge of Byzantine Catholic tradition (based on the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Youth Catechism “We Walk With Christ”).
The activities will include: talks led by Ukrainian Catholic clergy and youth ministers; participation in the Divine Liturgy; team and trust building, decision making/problem solving, leadership games; chotky workshop (Eastern prayer rope); prayer and testimonies; service to those in need; and a visit to the Shrine of Blessed Nun Martyrs Olympia and Laurentia in Saskatoon.
