“All Will Be Well” Julian of Norwich and Living Through a Pandemic – series starts at Queen’s House
All Will Be Well: Julian of Norwich and Living Through a Pandemic will be held on four Thursday afternoons at Queen’s House from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. March 2, 9, 16 & 23 with facilitator Sr. Judy Schachtel, SMS.
In this retreat series we will explore Julian, a mystic of the 13th C who lived through the Black Death, and how in faith she faced the darkness of it and death itself. She survived and was gifted with 16 visions of God. In in midst of all of this, Julian stressed the goodness of God, life, and nature. “All shall be well.” She taught that divinity was found in nature. Earlier, St. Thomas Aquinas said, “we have two books of revelation, nature and scripture.” How we need to hear this today as we face the climate crisis. Julian speaks of the fatherhood and motherhood of God and urges us to return to the Divine Feminine and gender balance in heart and society, along with non-dualism that is badly needed today. Julian offers us wisdom to be our deepest self who is one-ing with God.
Fee: $80. Registration deadline: March 1. Register at https://www.queenshouse.org/programs/ or call 306-242-1916.
