ADVENT RETREAT – “Rejoice”
An Encounter Advent Retreat will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, led by the Sisters of the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity.
Rejoice is a retreat inspired by Philippians 4:4, which encourages us to “Rejoice in the Lord always.” This retreat offers a unique opportunity for spiritual renewal.
Participants will engage in a variety of enriching activities, including reflective prayer sessions, inspiring talks by Verbum Dei Sisters, and moments of silent contemplation.
Whether you are seeking personal growth or simply a time to pause and reflect, this retreat offers a transformative journey of faith and fellowship, preparing hearts for the celebration of Christmas.
Cost: $30/person (includes lunch)
LENTEN RETREAT – “Man of Sorrows”
An Encounter Lenten Retreat will be held Saturday, March 7, 2025 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family
“Man of Sorrows” is a diocesan Lenten retreat inspired by Isaiah 53:3, often referenced for its depiction of the “Man of Sorrows.”
Participants are invited to explore the depths of sorrow and redemption. The retreat offers an environment where individuals can deepen their faith and understanding of the
sacrifice that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ made for humanity. Through guided meditations and prayer, attendees will be encouraged to connect with Christ in meaningful ways in preparation for the Easter renewal of baptismal promises, while fostering a sense of community and shared devotion.
