Sacred sites during the Jubilee 2025 Year:
Below is a list of the upcoming annual pilgrimages in our diocese and beyond, to be held during this year of Jubilee, with its theme “Pilgrims of Hope.”
The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops notes on their resource page: “During the Jubilee Year 2025, pilgrims are invited to make a special effort to visit the shrines to pray for peace and to experience a renewed joy that springs from Christian hope.”
Sacred sites identified by Bishop Mark Hagemoen for the Jubilee Year Indulgence include pilgrimage sites located in the diocese, as well as the two cathedrals: Cathedral of the Holy Family and St. Paul Co-Cathedral, as well as St. Peter’s Abbey at Muenster: To read more about indulgences – Click here.
Prairie Pilgrimages in the Summer of 2025
The following pilgrimage sites have been identified as sacred sites for the Jubilee Year by bishops in each area. Those who visit the sites are able to receive the Jubilee indulgence, if all of the required conditions are met – Click here to READ MORE about indulgences.

Pilgrimage to Millennium Pro-Life Cross – Sunday, Sept. 14 – 3:00 pm
The Millennium Pro-Life Cross is located 10.8 km northeast of Aberdeen on Highway 41.
The 22nd annual pilgrimage begins at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, the Feast of the Exultation of the Cross, with a living rosary and other prayers. Keynote speaker is Most Rev. Bishop Bryan Bayda of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Toronto and Eastern Canada. Fellowship and food to follow. (Bring your own rosary and lawn chair or umbrella.)

Aim for Healing event at Millennium Cross site – Saturday, Sept. 13
During this Jubilee Year there will also be an “Aim for Healing” event on deepening faith with the healing of significant relationships to be held on the cross site the day before the pilgrimage. The “Aim for Healing” event will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, consisting of two parts, an optional 40-km Bike Pilgrimage from Saskatoon starting at 10 a.m. Sept. 13 (Registration required, e-mail: info@millenniumcross.ca) and a “Head and Heart” program at the Millennium Pro-Life Cross hill from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 13 (Registration appreciated, e-mail: info@millenniumcross.ca). Speakers include:
- Fr. Ivan Nahachewsky: Parish priest in the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy, military chaplain, intrepid cyclist and wilderness trekker, husband and dad
- Deborah Larmour: Catechist, canon lawyer, wife, mother and grandmother
- Hudson Byblow: Teacher, Catholic speaker, sacred music enthusiast
- Sofia Larmour: Staffing advisor for the RCMP, loves running and athletic pursuits, following Christ and sharing faith
- Logan and Elise Michallshen: Parents of active young children committed to passing on the faith in their family.

The Blumenfeld Pilgrimage Site is located 16 km south and 6 km east of Leader, SK. just off Hwy 21. The annual Pilgrimage was held June 8, 2025. The Blumenfeld pilgrimage site is open to visitors 2 pm to 4 pm Sundays from July 6 to Sept. 1.

Annual Procession and Mass to this historic church in the western region of the diocese was again held on June 13, the Feast Day of St. Anthony of Padua. Cudworth Eparchial Pilgrimage Site:
Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows, Cudworth, SK
The Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows is a pilgrimage site in the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saskatoon, located one kilometre south of the turn off to the Town of Cudworth on Highway 2 (the entrance road splits into three with the middle road leading to the shrine: watch for signage.) Reward, SK:

The historic Holy Rosary Church at Reward, SK. is the site of an annual pilgrimage, as well as Masses throughout the summer season.
Holy Rosary Shrine and Church at Reward, SK is located 3 kilometres south of the hamlet of Reward, SK.
The annual Reward Pilgrimage was held July 13 – ARTICLE
Mass will also be celebrated at the Reward pilgrimage site at 7:30 p.m. every second Saturday, including July 19, Aug. 2, Aug. 16, Aug. 30, and Sept. 13
Donations in honour of God’s people, priests, sisters, pioneers and descendants are much appreciated. Anyone unable to attend who would like to make a donation toward the repairs of the church building, can send donations to Holy Rosary Shrine, Box 1536, Unity, SK, SOK 4L0. Tax receipts are available.

The picturesque Mount Carmel pilgrimage site is located about 5.2 km north of Carmel, SK (west of Humboldt). The 2025 pilgrimage was held Sunday, July 20. There was also a “Walking Pilgrimage” to the site for Sunday Mass on Aug. 17, followed by praise and worship and testimonies from two young adult pilgrims to Rome

Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine at St. Laurent, SK
The Shrine is located 12 km directly east of Duck Lake on grid road; or take the road from the statue landmark on Highway 11.

September 8 – Birthday of Blessed Virgin Mary- PDF
Sept. 8 Schedule at St. Laurent Shrine:
- 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm – Confessions at the Grotto / Rosary / Bouquet offering (bring a rose, or roses available at the candle booth for $2 each)
- 7:00 pm – Mass with Bishop Stephen Hero presiding
- 8:00 pm – Birthday cake and coffee at the food

Saint Philomena Walking Pilgrimage
The Saint Philomena Walking Pilgrimage is a supported walk held Aug. 11 to Aug. 14; rest stops and meals are provided and a trailer carries camping supplies between nightly stops. Pilgrims are invited to join in all of the walk, a few steps, or anything in between. The pilgrimage started at St Mary Parish in Yorkton and ended at Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine at Rama on Aug. 14 for the Vigil of the Assumption of the Blessed Version Mary.
