Featured Ministry – BAA Update

Evangelization and Catechesis and Youth Ministry are nurturing missionary disciples of Jesus Christ, thanks to your gifts to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal.

Cultivating a new generation of faithful Catholics, the work of these diocesan ministries is transformative, reaching hundreds of lives through faith formation, leadership training, spiritual retreats and pastoral care.

Evangelization and Catechesis highlights from this past year:

  • 40 Candidates and 32 Catechumens participated in the Rite of Election, as a step on their journey toward full communion with the Church.
  • 250-plus leaders and ministers were enriched through Fall and Spring Congress addressing catechesis, evangelization, and liturgical beauty.
  • 172 lay ministers received liturgical and spiritual training to serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, throughout the diocese.

Youth Ministry spiritual impact this year:

  • Project Timothy mentored 25 young adults through a year-long leadership and faith formation journey, culminating in retreats and deepened spirituality.
