"Are Your Affairs in Order" - inspiration and information about personal planning in a Catholic context

Putting Your Affairs In Order

During January 2019, there are three opportunities to attend a free “Are Your Affairs in Order?” presentation at Queen’s House Retreat & Renewal Centre, 601 Taylor Street West, Saskatoon. Choose from one of the following dates/times:

  • 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019
  • 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019
  • 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019

This two-hour talk will demonstrate the importance of having a Will and preparing the other components of your personal and financial life.

HamolineJocelyne Hamoline from the Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation will demonstrate how a “Will” can be a significant opportunity to express one’s Catholic faith and commitment to discipleship. 

A “Catholic Planning Guide to My Estate” package and the “Faith-BasedAdvanced Health Care Directive (CHAS)” will be available at the presentations for $5.00 (cash or check).

Registration is free with seating limited to 50. Pre-registration is required for each of the four sessions.

 Financial Planning For Families of People with Disabilities:

 On Jan. 31, 2019 there will be another presentation: Road Map to the Future: Financial Planning For Families of People with Disabilities

The Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation and Inclusion Saskatchewan (formerly the Saskatchewan Association for Community Living) are delivering a free presentation regarding estate and financial planning for families of people with disabilities at 7 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon, SK. Jocelyne Hamoline will present a shortened version of the “Are Your Affairs in Order?” and Connie Andersen from Inclusion Saskatchewan will present on “Road Map to the Future: Financial Planning for Families of People with Disabilities.” This 2-hour session will help families and guardians make a person-centred plan for the son or daughter who experiences disability, create a circle of support, provide tools to help get finances organized, and information on testamentary trusts for future care.  Attendees will receive a complimentary copy of Road Map to the Future: A Financial Planning Guide for Families of People with Disabilities.Registration: Free, but registration is required.
