Jubilee 2025
The Jubilee started on Christmas Eve with the rite of Opening of the Holy Door of the Papal Basilica of St. Peter at the Vatican by Pope Francis. The Year will conclude on Dec. 28, 2025, followed by the Closing of the Holy Door marked on the Feast of the Epiphany on Jan. 6, 2026.
in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon: Bishop Mark Hagemoen launched the Jubilee Year with celebration of the Eucharist on the Feast of the Holy Family at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at Holy Spirit Church, 114 Kingsmere Drive in Saskatoon. In cathedrals around the world, there were special Jubilee 2025 prayers on Sunday, Dec. 29, including at both the Cathedral of the Holy Family and St. Paul Co-Cathedral in Saskatoon.
The theme of the Jubilee 2025 year is “Pilgrims of Hope.”
