DESCRIPTION:The annual Rock Your Roots: Walk for Reconciliation takes place this year on Friday\, June 20\, one day before National Indigenous Peoples Day.  \n\n\n\nThe walk honours Residential School Survivors and invites the community to attend and demonstrate their commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. “Rock your roots” by wearing the cultural clothing of your ancestors or carrying your nation’s flag or wearing orange to honour the survivors.  \n\n\n\nThe Friday\, June 20 event starts at Victoria Park\, 606 Spadina Cresent West in Saskatoon\, at 10 a.m. with participants assembling for the walk\, which begins at 10:30 a.m. on a 40-60-minute route along the river. Performers along the way will showcase culture\, inclusion and diversity. The walk ends at about 11:45am at “Reconciliation Circle” in Victoria Park\, followed by a grand entry\, a program and activities held from noon to 3 p.m.

DESCRIPTION:Hope on the Horizon – Summer hands-on missionary training for young adults: \n\n\n\nCatholic Street Missionaries (CSM) is a Catholic charitable organization based in the Archdiocese of Vancouver. It’s here that in 1995\, she met her dream guy\, Jason Reinhart\, who joined the band as the electric guitar player\, when Janelle was only 15 years old. With Jason doing double duty as her manager and guitar player\, Janelle was soon headed for unprecedented success. Her professional Christian music and speaking career was launched in 2002\, when the 22-year-old dynamo was chosen to be the World Youth Day theme song singer for Pope John Paul II’s visit to Toronto\, Canada. There\, the bilingual singer sang for the late pope and over 1 million people live\, all the while being 7 months pregnant with their first son\, Eric. Since then she has released three radio-chart-topping albums\, has appeared in numerous radio\, TV\, magazine\, and newspaper interviews and has garnered several music industry awards including\, “Best New Artist”\, “Contemporary Album of the year”\, “Female Singer of the Year” and two Juno nominations. She has toured extensively across Canada\, the USA\, New Zealand and parts of Europe and continues to inspire lives with her Christ-centred testimony and pop rock grooves. Janelle currently lives in Lloydminster\, AB\, alongside her husband Jason\, as they home-school their eight children\, Eric\, Monique\, Joshua\, Michael\, Jonathan\, Justin\, Jace and Noah. DESCRIPTION:A Classical Music Concert will be held at 7 p.m.\, Monday\, July 14 followed by a wine and cheese social. as part of the Festival of Faith held at St. Philip Neri Parish from July 9 to 15. \n\n\n\nAll sessions of the Festival of Faith are free. Everyone is welcome to attend one or more sessions; childcare available. \n\n\n\nPlease register online through the link on the parish website at EventBrite – Registration. (The EventBrite online registration form also includes volunteer opportunities for those who are able to help.) \n\n\n\n______________________________________ \n\n\n\nSchedule of events to be held at St. Philip Neri Parish\, 1902 Munroe Avenue South\, Saskatoon: \n\n\n\nOpening Mass at 7 p.m. Wednesday\, July 9 with Bishop Mark Hagemoen. \n\n\n\n“Women in Sacred Scripture” sessions on Thursday July 10 will be presented by Deb Rolfes\, MA\, MTh. at 9 a.m.\, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.\, with Mass at 11 a.m. \n\n\n\nPrayer is the theme on Friday\, July 11 with an introduction and experience of Lectio Divina with Fr. Doug Jeffrey\, OMI at 9 a.m.\, and an introduction to Centring Prayer with Fr. Kevin McGee at 2 p.m.\, as well as Mass at 11 a.m. and Adoration/Benediction at 7 p.m. \n\n\n\nMary will be the focus on Saturday\, July 12 with Sr. Cindy Lewans\, PM\, giving a presentation on “Mary: Let it be done unto me” at 9 a.m.\, followed by “Mary: A Celebration in Song” at 11 a.m. \n\n\n\nIn addition to regular Sunday Eucharist July 12-13 held at the parish\, the Festival of Faith will continue with Fr. Ron Rolheiser speaking on “Called to Mission” at 7 p.m. Sunday\, July 13. \n\n\n\nFr. Ron Rolheiser’s sessions will continue Monday\, July 14 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.  \n\n\n\nA Classical Music Concert will be held at 7 p.m.\, Monday\, July 14 followed by a wine and cheese social. \n\n\n\nFr.
