DESCRIPTION:Four local organizations host events Feb. 22-24 in Saskatoon to stand in solidarity with Ukraine on third anniversary of Russian invasion:  \n\n\n\nCAR RALLY – On Saturday\, February 22\, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Saskatoon Branch will organize a Car Rally for Ukraine. The rally will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday\, Feb. 22 at Bethlehem Catholic High School (110 Bowlt Crescent) and will proceed through the city\, concluding at 2:30 PM at the Ukrainian Museum of Canada\, 910 Spadina Cr. East for a reception and program featuring Lee Reaney\, Editor of Lviv Today. (lunch and refreshments will be provided). Everyone is welcome to the workshop at St. Augustine Catholic Church\, 602 Boychuk Drive\, Saskatoon. \n\n\n\nDeveloped by the Catholic Bishops of Canada\, “Horizons of Hope: A Toolkit for Catholic Parishes on Palliative Care” is designed to raise awareness and understanding\, and to help each of us – parishioners\, caregivers\, the sick and dying\, and/or family members – to find support and concrete assistance. \n\n\n\nBackground: When confronted with a life-limiting diagnosis\, we can find ourselves in an unfamiliar and even frightening situation. These moments are usually marked by having to make numerous practical decisions surrounding care and support for loved ones and ourselves. More often than not\, such decisions require moral discernment through the lens of our faith.  \n\n\n\nWe believe in the dignity and sacredness of human life at all stages\, from conception to natural death. At the same time\, our faith does not demand that life is to be sustained at all costs. Themes include: understanding the human experience of dying and death\, discerning and making decisions at the end of life\, accompanying those on the journey and supporting and integrating within the wider community. \n\n\n\nEach module features two videos. DESCRIPTION:Truth and Reconciliation in Our Parishes – Back by popular demand\, the Second Parish Truth and Reconciliation Committee gathering will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday\, April 2 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family\, 123 Nelson Road\, Saskatoon. This free event will include supper.  \n\n\n\nThere is no cost to attend\, but please register before the deadline of 12 pm NOON on Monday\, March 31\, so that we have numbers for supper.
