DESCRIPTION:There will be a World Day of Prayer service at 1 p.m. Friday\, March 6 at St. David’s Trinity United Church\, 3318 Merritt Street\, Saskatoon; as well as at 7 p.m. Friday March 6 at the United Church. in Watson\, SK. \n\n\n\nThere will also be a World Day of Prayer service at 1 p.m. Saturday\, March 7 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church\, 1121 Northumberland Avenue\, Saskatoon\, which will be hosted by the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Women’s League (CWL).  \n\n\n\nWatch for other celebrations in your area. \n\n\n\nWorld Day of Prayer is an international\, ecumenical movement which enables us to hear the thoughts of women from all parts of the world: their hopes\, concerns and prayers. For 2026\, a committee of Christian women from Nigeria wrote the service\, with the theme “I Will Give You Rest: Come!” Included are stories from three women who describe their personal journeys and how their faith in God kept them motivated to persevere. Churches located in a neighbourhood or community often rotate the hosting responsibilities for the World Day of Prayer. \n\n\n\nVisit  wdpcanada.ca  to learn about this 99-year-old tradition of faith and prayer. World Day of Prayer resources are made available throughout Canada by the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada.

Kevin McGee will be held at 5 p.m. on First Friday\, March 6 at Saint Mary Catholic Church\, 211 Avenue O South\, Saskatoon.  \n\n\n\nThe rhythm of the Contemplative Mass is a gentle\, steady flow\, marked by 20 minutes of silence after communion. It is designated to allow space for reflection and recognition of the intimate presence of Christ who comes to us through scripture and the Eucharist. Silence in this form of worship can feel uncomfortable or awkward\, especially when experienced for the first time. You are encouraged to relax and rest in the abiding presence of God.
