SUMMARY:Domestic Violence presentation
DESCRIPTION:Domestic Violence Speaker – Did you know that Saskatchewan has the highest rate of police calls for domestic abuse of all the provinces\, at twice the national average? \n\n\n\nMark your calendars for 7 p.m. Monday\, March 10\, to hear guest speaker Joan McDonald speak to the Catholic Women’s League at St. John Bosco Church\, 1202 Avenue O South\, Saskatoon about the prevalence and dangers of domestic abuse. \n\n\n\nJoan McDonald is a wife\, mother and grandmother who recently retired from her administrative career with the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Her daughter\, Abbie Speir\, was a victim of domestic homicide in April 2017. Invested in changing that story for others\, Joan began speaking to workplaces\, schools and community groups and events.
