Find the schedule of Saskatoon events below. \n\n\n\nMarked Jan. 18-25\, the theme of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (WPCU) was prepared by the monastic community of Bose in Northern Italy\, “Do you believe this?” (John 11:26)\, taking its cue from the dialogue between Jesus and Martha when Jesus visited the home of Martha and Mary in Bethany following the death of their brother Lazarus. DESCRIPTION:Bishop Mark Hagemoen of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon each year declares the last Sunday of January as a day of prayer for Reverence for Life\, coinciding with the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Morgentaler decision which removed all legal limits to abortion in Canada. The bishop will celebrate Mass at 9 a.m. on Reverence for Life Sunday\, Jan. 26 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family\, 123 Nelson Road\, Saskatoon. \n\n\n\nBishop’s message for Reverence for Life Sunday – PDF \n\n\n\nPlease join in praying that life will be respected at every age and stage\, from conception to natural death. \n\n\n\n___________________________ \n\n\n\nReverence for Life Prayer:\n\n\n\nAlmighty God\, giver of all that is good\, we thank you for the precious gift of human life:For life in the womb\, coming from your creative power\,For the life of children\, making us glad with their freshness and promise\,For the life of young people\, hoping for a better world\,For the life of people who are disabled\, teaching us that every life has value\,For the life of the elderly\, witnessing to the ageless values of patience and wisdom. \n\n\n\nLike Blessed Mary\, may we always say “yes” to Your gift. (Please bring a dessert to share.)  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCreated\, developed and produced in Saskatoon\, Unveiled will delve deep into the lives of women who have answered the call to religious life and answer questions about what it means to discern\, as well as explore how each call and community sets them apart. \n\n\n\nPodcast hosts are 13-year-old Claire Ewan and 14-year-old Jacinta Leyne\, who will navigate the world of discernment through conversations with women from religious communities across North America and the world. \n\n\n\nThis podcast brings a “Nun Run”* to young women everywhere without the need to travel\, and who knows…maybe a young woman out there will find her perfect match! \n\n\n\n*Definition of “Nun Run”: Traveling to various religious communities with the intent to discern which community calls to the desires of one’s heart. Can be enjoyed on one’s own\, but FAR more enjoyable as a group.
