An evening with L'Arche International filmmaker, Michael McDonald

Michael McDonald is the filmmaker behind L'Arche International's documentary film series, As I Am.  Join L'Arche Saskatoon in listening to him share his journey of filming people with intellectual disabilities around the world.  Michael will share the "story behind the stories."  Several of the As I Am videos will be shown, and there will be a Q & A to follow.  Visit the L'Arche International channel on Youtube to view the videos, or click here:

Michael McDonald is the author of four books and the recipient of an Academy of American Poets Prize.  His short films have aired on television in Canada, France, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.  His work explores where human dignity meets human fragility.


Over the years, Michael has had the fortune of living alongside people with intellectual disabilities in 19 countries, and he lived and worked as a house assistant in L'Arche in France and Kenya.
