RiKi 50 Walkathon

* RiKi 50 Walkathon in support of SaskAbilities and Camp Easter Seal will be held at Pike Lake Provincial Park, west of Saskatoon, on Saturday, June 9 (free park admission, 11 a.m. walk, followed by a barbecue for all registrants). Register for the walk and/or raise funds by visiting the website at or for more information call (306) 374-4448, Extension 25 — participants, volunteers and donations are most welcome! In 1968, the first RiKi Walkathoin made its debut with 4,000 children and adults trekking from Saskatoon to Pike Lake, collecting some 20,000 pledges, and raising over $41,000 for Camp Easter Seal, the only completely barrier-free camp of its kind in the province, and the only camp most individuals with disabilities can attend. In partnership with the Riversdale Kiwanis Club, the RiKi Walkathon is going back to its roots — a little shorter than the original event in 1968, but still lots of fun.
