Workshop – De Margerie Series on Christian Reconciliation and Unity

The De Margerie Series on Christian Reconciliation and Unity will include a public workshop, entitled “What Does It Mean To Be Church Today?“,  to be held 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 15 at the diocesan Resource Library, 2nd floor, Holy Family Cathedral, 123 Nelson Road Saskatoon. Everyone is welcome!

The series also includes the annual De Margerie Lecture, Ecumenism in a Secular Age – A Theological Conviction and a Practical Necessity, a free event at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14 at St. Thomas More College, Room 1001, 1437 College Drive, Saskatoon, featuring guest speaker Rev. Gordon T. Smith, President of Ambrose University in Calgary.

The series is named in honour of Fr. Bernard de Margerie, a priest in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon, who for some 60 years has worked to build ecumenical relationships in Saskatoon, including the establishment of the Prairie Centre for Ecumenism.
