Replica of shroud at Eparchial shrine

Veneration of the Vatican-Authorized Replica of the Shroud of Turin:
On Great and Holy Friday, April 19, 2019, the Vatican-authorized replica of the Shroud of Turin will be available for veneration at the Shrine of the Venerable Nun Martyrs Olympia and Laurentia, 215 Avenue M South, Saskatoon.
Exposition of the Holy Shroud (Plashchenytsya) Service will begin at 11:00 am followed by the Vigil until 7:00 pm. Please, come and contemplate this icon of love – a replica of the Holy Shroud, which is known as the burial linen of Christ. As Pope Benedict said: “The Shroud is an icon written in blood; the blood of man who has been whipped, crowned with thorns, crucified and wounded in the right side…the blood speaks of His life. Each trace of blood speaks of love and of life … we can see it, hear it, in the silence of Easter Saturday.”
