Our Lady of the Cape statue on pilgrimage to papal visit, prayer stop in Saskatoon

July 22, 2022 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

The Papal Visit Pilgrim Statue Procession from Canada’s National Marian Shrine in Cap-de-la-Madeleine, QC to Edmonton, AB, can be likened to An Olympic Torch passing through cities — with Our Lady of the Cape bringing Christ’s message of healing and reconciliation to everyone on route.

CATHEDRAL OF THE HOLY FAMILY HOSTS PILGRIM STATUE

As part of the Our Lady of the Cape Statue Pilgrimage to the papal visit in Edmonton, the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon, will host the statue of Our Lady of the Cape on Friday, July 22, with praying of the Rosary and a procession at 11:30 a.m., followed by celebration of Mass at 12:15 p.m.

About Our Lady of the Cape  – Canada was Consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Ottawa in 1947. The Marian Statue that was used 75 years ago was from Canada’s National Marian Shrine located at Cap de la Madeleine near Trois Rivières, QC. The original statue is known as Our Lady of the Cape. As a result, the Marian Devotional Movement was visiting various dioceses in Canada in 2022 as it spearheads pilgrim statue tours of Our Lady of the Cape to provide opportunities for Canadians to venerate Canada’s National Madonna, to promote consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to promote enrolment in the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary.
