Deadline to order bedding plants in support of refugee sponsorship at St. Philip Neri Parish
Annual Tomato Plant Sale – St. Philip Neri Refugee Committee will hold their annual tomato, pepper and herb sale will be held Saturday, May 15.
The varieties that we will be selling include:
- Tomatoes: Lemon Boy (yellow slicer, low acid), Defiant (red slicer, late blight resistant), Primo Red (red slicer, good flavor), Supremo (Roma type for sauces and canning), Vilma (small plants with small tomatoes for pots), SuperSweet 100 (cherry size fruit, sweet, larger plants), Tumbling Tom Yellow (cherry size yellow fruit recommended for a hanging basket)
- Peppers: Redstart (an early, sweet bell pepper that matures from green to red), El Jefe (a jalapeno pepper with mild – medium heat), Long Red Cayenne (a cayenne pepper that ripens from green to red, heat is medium to hot)
- Herbs: Basil, Oregano, Lavender, Marjoram
Tomatoes, peppers and herbs will be in 5” pots and are $6/plant or $5 each for 4 for more (Mix and Match).
A limited number of Nanking cherry shrubs are also available for $10 each.
Also, the committee received a donation of over 100 jars of pure Canadian Creamed Ice Honey: $10 per 1kg jar.
Plants and honey must be pre-ordered by contacting Sheila Flory at firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a message at 306-931-8053. All orders must be received by May 13.
Some varieties are limited so order early. You will receive an order confirmation with your order number and total. Payment can be made by e-transfer to email@example.com or bring a cheque made out to St Philip Neri Refugee Fund or exact cash in sealed envelope. Please do not pay until your order is confirmed. Orders will be ready to pick up at garage beside church on May 15 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Specify what time you would like to pick up your order.
