DESCRIPTION:BLAZE youth event March 8-9 – “Hope does not disappoint” (Romans 5:5): BLAZE (Byzantine Leadership And Zealous Evangelization) for high school students of Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS) will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday March 8 and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday\, March 9.  \n\n\n\nBLAZE events will be held at Holy Cross Catholic High School\, 2115 McEown Avenue\, Saskatoon and at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of St. George\, 210 Avenue M South\, Saskatoon.  \n\n\n\nTo register\, please visit tinyurl.com/BLAZE-2025 or contact Viktoriia Marko\, GSCS Religious Consultant for Byzantine Rite\, vmarko@gscs.ca.  Deadline to register is March 5. \n\n\n\nThe goals of BLAZE are to form young leaders who will be inspired to serve their communities: schools\, parishes\, camps\, and places of need\, to evangelize and form missionary disciples in the educational spirit of St. John Bosco\, under the guidance of Mary\, Help of Christians\, and to equip young leaders with the knowledge of Byzantine Catholic tradition.  \n\n\n\nActivities will include talks led by Ukrainian Catholic clergy and youth ministers; participation in Divine Liturgy; team and trust building\, decision-making and problem solving; leadership games; Chotky (Eastern prayer rope) workshop; prayer and testimonies; and service to those in need.
