Bishop’s Annual Appeal 2021 begins in the diocese

October 16 - October 17

The 2021 Bishop’s Annual Appeal (BAA) in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon will begin later than usual this fall, due to the importance of working on details of the recently-launched Catholic TRC Healing Response fund-raising effort.

The 2021 BAA launch is set for the weekend of Oct. 16-17, and the theme will be ‘God is Doing New Things’ (based on Isaiah 43:19).

All parishioners will receive a personalized letter in the mail. All gifts can be returned to the Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation with the enclosed postage-paid return envelope, or gifts can be made online at https://dscf.ca/BAA/  or with this QR code:

Catholic TRC Healing Response: The Catholic Bishops of Saskatchewan recently sent an update about fund-raising efforts to support healing and reconciliation initiatives in consultation with Indigenous people, especially in relation to TRC Call to Action #61.

Funds raised will be part of a national $30-million fund-raising pledge announced Sept. 27 by the Catholic bishops of Canada, following their apology to the Indigenous Peoples of this land.
