Diocesan World Youth Day will be marked on Christ the King Sunday in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon, including celebration of Mass with Bishop Mark Hagemoen at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, in a celebration that will include testimonies from young adults who participated in the international World Youth Day held this summer in Portugal. Everyone is welcome.

The Mass will also be live-streamed at saskatoonmass.com starting 6:30 pm Nov. 26.

Testimony from WYD pilgrims will also be part of the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses on Christ the King Sunday, Nov. 26 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon.

The theme of the Nov. 26 World Youth Day is “Rejoicing in Hope” (cf Romans 12:12), announced earlier this year by Pope Francis.

Background: Diocesan World Youth Days are observed annually in addition to the major intercontinental world-wide edition of World Youth Day that takes place every three or four years.

Since 2021, the celebration of World Youth Day at the diocesan level has been held on Christ the King Sunday (before that, it was held on Palm Sunday).

News and other information regarding the World Youth Days can be found on the website of the Dicastery for the Laity, the Family and Life: www.laityfamilylife.va.
